It's not a big deal, is it? He's probably just getting into guitars the way we all did at some point. You weren't programmed from birth with the knowledge of what separates an LP and an ES, or LP Studio and an LP Standard, or even a strat and a tele. We all had to learn this stuff and Bogtrotter is learning (this unimportant knowledge) right now.

Anyway, it is a Gibson and it looks a lot like some ES Semi Acoustics. It looks very much like my old ES339 Semi actually! (which I'm 95% sure Bowie stole from me at a gig!!)
