Karz - Subhash Ghai Musical Journey - 1980 starring Rishi Kapoor and Tina Munim as leads, also in a feat of perfect casting was Simi Garewal, who stood out in her role of Kamini Verma, the murderous wife from the past life, which won her a Filmfare nomination.
Film's music was by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, giving memorable hits like, Om Shanti Om and Dard-e-Dil, and who went on to win Filmfare Best Music Director Award for this film, even the lyricist received two Filmfare nominations for these two hits.

'Amazing' similarity between the original song of "Shanti Om" by Lord Shorty (1974). Infact, Lord Shorty in its lyrics has given credit that 'Shanti om' is an ancient Indian prayer from endless time to soothe your mind :) So much of originality!
