It just so happens that Fran is an old and highly valued friend of my wife. She is a thoroughly good person and, as her charity is staffed by volunteers, all donations are used for the benefit of the children and not absorbed by admin. If you feel like donating, you can be sure the money will be very well spent. (If you are a UK tax payer, don't forget to complete and send the appropriate form, which means more money for the charity at no cost to you.) Fran doesn't know I'm writing this.
