A quick look at the Miss Opportunity wreck.
Book your dive with St.Thomas Diving Club here in St.Thomas. They know this wreck better than anyone.
The Miss Opportunity is over 300ft long and lies in 90ft of water off the south side of St.Thomas. The Miss Op, as she's known to the locals, rests in the sand listing heavy to her starboard side. This makes the ship appear almost upside down, which makes penetrations into the wreck very interesting to say the least. Especially for what has come to be known as "the spooky hallway". This hallway, midway through the ship, is long and dark with very little light at the end. Also knowing that the Miss Op served as a Navy hospital ship adds to the spookiness for some people. Very few people have ventured into some of the more creepy rooms deep in the ship like the morgue and the "thawing room". But either way the Miss Op is a great dive for all level of divers and a must dive when your in St.Thomas. check out St.Thomas Diving Club.
