you are stupid man. Bregovic wrote these music, also lyric. SOAD are ortodox from Armenia, they are not gypsies. Malkinian - Armenian last name. Irish music is good, but don't have a soul. I understand your comment about writing someone off. 12 years ago I was given a CD of the soundtrack to Underground. I have been playing the CD in my car eversince. My children grew up with it, but I never knew it was Bregovic until two weeks ago, browsing on youtube. Now I am thinking, why didn't I look him up sooner? What was I doing? All his other work is a revelation.

As for fusion and adaptation, I suppose you know, Ringe Ringe Raja is basically the English nursery rhyme.

True again!Goran is crossing over the 2 adopted worlds regardless of the origin and it's all good it is Gypsy and Serbian music merge as one!But unfortunately that's not what the majority of the NEW listeners knows..they think is Serbian and that's where the contradiction starts! :|

U r right on that..but uuhhm i still don't dig Brega..!! U know..?! There is Artist in our lives that we write off sometime for whatsoever reason..but this artists keep coming back no matter right or wrong ,trying to establish again..and my habit is..once i write off someone..that's it for life...and in this case im just annoyed that my folks music is being reaped without a credit and due (from an artist that i already wrote off 20years ago) so it can be called Serbian..that's rude!! :|

SOAD. I knew they were from Armenia, with Balkan influences, but I did not know the were Gypsy. Great band, nonetheless.

Goran does stray from Gypsy.

Regarding dots...people move around, birng instruments, play traditional music until somneone else hears it and adapts it to another style. That is the wonder of music. Fixed number of notes and fixed number of scales, but the possibilities are infinite.
