In this episode, we'll have a look at a quick and easy way to drain and fill the power steering system fluid.
720p 30fps HD video recorded with my Kodak Zi6 and edited on my MacBook. I used iMovie '09 for the main presentation and PulpMotion for the new intro.
A few important notes:
* This will not drain 100% of the fluid, but will get most of it. If you feel you need to 100% fully drain the system, speak with an authorized repair center before tackling the work yourself.
* Be sure to use ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) rather than regular power steering fluid in your Miata. Steering system damage can occur if the wrong fluid type is used.
Remember to check your dipstick frequently for several days after topping off the system. This will help make sure that the system is in fact 100% topped off after the newer fluid circulates through.
Thank you for watching, enjoy the video and please subscribe to my channel! I don't run a repair shop and don't make any money on these vids, so my "payment" is knowing that people are watching and subscribing to the channel. Thanks again!
Hi, thanks for the tutorials on the Miata. I just bought a Miata same year as you so this is very helpful. I also would like to know what kind of pump you are using in the video? Also, do you have a digital copy of the Mx5 service manual?
