I was looking into starting making a few short movies & maybe a miniseries in blender and the inability to key-frame cameras was a major road blockage. I like to be able to work speedily and as such rendering out 5 different camera points for a scene and then editing is a lot worse then being able to scrub the timeline of the scene and edit the camera view from there.
In short, this is an epic addition and you are now my hero!
