Generally there will be an extractor on the bolt face that pulls the casing out of the chamber by hooking into the rim. From there, some rifles have a spring loaded pin that presses against the opposite side of the head of the casing. Others will have a tab that, as the bolt passes by, will strike the opposite side of the back of the casing, on the head, and send it out of the ejection port.
