I made this video because some people did not like that I have used pasta sauces from a jar.
I do make this from time to time, but find that the "jarred" sauces are actually quite good.

Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons butter
1/4 cup chopped shallot
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
2 garlic cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
28 ounce crushed tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1 Tablespoon olive oil

There is something soothing in the way you explain, easy to follow, without the extra fuss and complicated methods you always deliver the best recipes videos on YouTube! My boyfriend who didn't know anything about cooking got inspired by your videos and started with this simple recipe and it was great. :)

  • thank you very much

  • Those cheap tomatoes are grown in California not in Italy!!!

  • You didn't need the butter or the onions, but you came very close to what the authentic marinara sauce really is.

P.S. The onions together with the garlic cancel each other out in the recipe!

  • @BlackSkullz09

Well yes, but not that much of a difference.

You will be quite happy with onion.

    Thank you for your question!

  • @freitasex If i use 1/4 cup of minced onion will it taste different if i didn't use the shallot instead??

  • @griderable

Electric stove on medium, except when cooking the garlic... do the garlic on low to medium low.
