leaving that aside, you should remember that in the 20's, the british were acting under "the white book", and basically did and said anything to please the arabs in israel.

Actually if you look at those string of riots in the 1920s and the subsequent court findings:

Israel started with the Irgun & Lehi death squads in 1940s who were the first people EVER to commit suicide bombings, mail bombings, plane hijackings, etc. Their aim was to dispel the indigenous Arab population from their homes by terrorism, why worked quite well, for example: Deir Yassin massacre commited by the Zionist Irgun death squad, 107 villagers butchered, women as old as 104 molested before beaten to death, school-girls raped then shot in the head, a toddler torn into two pieces, etc.
