A muffler shop said they could just cut the cats and replace it with pipes running into the stock h pipe and it would still make the car sound great and sixty percent louder without having to buy a whole new exhaust system. Any thoughts anyone?

My mufflers were deleted and replaced with straight pipe and my car sounds WAY better than this. I mean your car sounds good but something is wrong here if this is straight pipes.

@MustangAficionado Straight pipes really mean divorced duals (A.k.A a mid pipe that doesn't connect). But yes you are right when someone says straight pipes we all think no mufflers or cats =D
-
Because I'm 90% sure he still has his cat's. Very good sound, but not the sound of straight pipes =/
-
no way thats straight pipes

Straight-piped my ass...he's still running cats and stock manifolds. My Mustang on the other hand...BBK LTs, O/R X and SLP Loudmouths. Now that's straight-piped. =P

if u take mufflers off its super loud i did that to my 05...loudest one around...not so throaty though...can hear it for miles though even with cats
-
Def. WAY louder than stock. He may just have a muffler delete.
-
ya he does have cats still on cuz it dont say in his cats off. just says no mufflers
FYI straight pipes usually means no mufflers + an o/r pipe aka no cats
