This is a video chronicaling the history of both the 115 year old King Eddy Saloon, the Speakeasy's, Police Corruption, and the underground network of tunnels under Downtown Los Angeles built during the early 1900's and in particular during the Prohibition Period. King Eddy Saloon is located at 131 E 5th Street (5th & Main Streets) in Los Angeles, CA.

Really sad that Old Los Angeles is not preserved and the city officials have let it go to hell in a slop bucket.

My dad was president of the largest parking co. in the 80s and at one development he discovered a restaurant/bar under a parking lot, and upon going inside he found that most everything was left behind. The place had all of its tables and chairs, flatware, ovens etc. He said it was like a ghost town down there. He brought up a few antique items and I was fascinated by his story of underground Los Angeles, the forgotten city beneath the city.
