RING THE ALARM for Sudan

STAND held country wide vigils for Darfur, Sudan on August 17th, 2010. SmithSTAND (a Student Anti-Genocide coalition; http://www.smithstand.webs.com/), the Western Mass Darfur Coalition (http://darfurwm.blogspot.com/), and local STAND activists held a vigil in Northampton, MA on the corner of King St. and Main St. The vigil was in response to the recent statements that US Special Envoy to Sudan made regarding and neglecting Darfur (visit: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/31/world/africa/31briefs-DARFUR.html).
