This Canada Goose has survived the 234,000-litre crude oil spill in Burnaby, BC (Canada), capture and confinement, has been stabilized and undergone the wash process, and is now being rinsed. It will then spend some time in a drying pen, then will join the others that have been washed, in an outdoor pool. Professional wildlife rescue and rehabilitation efforts have been headed up by Focus Wildlife [www.focuswildlife.org] and aided by staff and volunteers from the Wildlife Rescue Association of BC. Today, media reps from The Vancouver Province, CTV and Global News Media were on hand to record this 45-minute process.
