@raggedtraveler wow you are one dumb motherfucker. your saying the striking in the UFC is slapfighting? its actually much more superior than boxing. in boxing all you have to worry about is punches in MMA yo have to worry about punches knees and kicks. and yeah speaking of Dos Santos and Overeem they are both great strikers that could have easily made it in boxing but they wanted to go with the elite fighting sport. well put, its a shame that fair fights are basically nonexistent in the real world, i guess people are just too scared to lose so they will do whatever it takes to win, knives, guns, bricks, biting, low blows, or call in all their friends. However, its a harsh reality we have to live with.

@yamahaing7737 Exactly. In an actual fight there aren't any rules against lowblows, headbutting, biting or eye gouging. There also aren't any rules against using a weapon or jumping someone with 3 of your friends. MMA has rules against that to keep it a fair contest just as boxing has rules against clinching and takedowns. It's apples and oranges, really. You can't really say how a fight would transpire in a no rules environment as the element of fairness is nonexistent.

@Chrism455 It is an absolute joke to say what they do in UFC is "boxing". Boxing is a high art that requires innate skill, ability and brutality. The slapfighting they do in UFC is the equivalent of two schoolgirls fighting at a public park. Name a major heavyweight fight in boxing that ended like Velasquez-Dos Santos or Lesnar-Overeem.
