The writers were softies.
It's a fun show but there were never any real slugfest.

Usually the display of powers were on creating or destroying traps,robots and disasters.

In these "Superfriends" cartoons, Wonder Woman wasn't super strong like she is in the comic books or even the live action TV series starring Lynda Carter. I think that the "Superfriends" writers should had based their Wonder Woman on "The New, Original Wonder Woman" TV show and made her magic belt the source of her Amazon powers. Every week, a villian could had removed Wonder Woman's magic belt to render her powerless;at least Wonder Woman would have had an excuse for always being so helpless.

I always LOVED WOnder WOman and also hated the way she was written in "The Superfriends" series in the 70's and 80's. But now WW kicks mega ass!!!
