This can be great fun, but your body can take a pounding, if you get a lot of air. You can get 30 or more feet in the air, and on days with a good wind, you have to be careful, or you could really get up there.

Actually, they are being pulled along by these big sails, sort of like the rectangular parachutes, some folks use. It can be hazardous, as in Hawaii a guy was blown inland, and in the air some several hundred feet by a warm updraft. Unfortunately, that goes up, shall come down. When the updraft faded, he fell and was hurt pretty bad. Some poor woman who was para sailing, was blown across the beach, across a busy road, and into an apartment building. She was unfortunately killed.
