people are always suprised when i talk at length about how important truckers are ... and i am not a trucker nor is truckin' in my family. but without truckers there wouldn't be food in my house. anyway ... i tell people to give them space, to flash lights when they are clear to move into your lane. people are pretty clueless about it. my two cents. THANK YOU ALL TRUCKERS!!

The part with the eagle in the windshield seems unbelievable except for the fact that it happened to me. A bird swooped down in front of my truck. I was doing 60 and was wondering why the bird dove in front of me like that when an eagle swept through and caught it. It's wing span seemed to block out my windshield for an instant. It was breathtaking.

My father (enjoying a well earned retirement now) was a trucker for most of his working life. He left school at 14 to work as family was so poor. Because he did his best to raise me right and encouraged me to get a good education, I'm now a physician.
