  • FRED COLLINS: "Produced in association with the NBC Television Network".

  • Does anyone remember the season one end title bridge that did not use the flute, but used un-muted brass for the first 3 notes, then went to muted trumped for next three descending notes? It was also used as part of the closing medly in the first U.N.C.L.E. movie. Have been looking for it for decades. May have only been used for a few episodes, but can't find it on the collections (each theme was individually recorded for each episode--but you UNCLE-ites know that ;-). Appreciate any info.

  • RIP Jerry Goldsmith.

  • @edybeast It is a kick, considering that The United Network Command for Law and Enforcement doesn't really exist! In the book about the show from John Heitland (at least I think that's the author's name), it explained the how reason behind the acknowledgement of U.N.C.L.E. So, much so, the United Nations had an issue about the name U.N.C.L.E.! By the way, it would have been cool if that organization really did exist.

  • By the way, this was one of only three episodes which the great Jerry Goldsmith actually scored (he also did the pilot and "The Deadly Games Affair").

  • Characters' names are quite funny.

Some of them have a meaning in Italian language.

Arlen Martel as Gemma Lusso=Jem Luxury

Gregory Morton as Carlo Venerdì=Charles Friday

Don Orlando as Signor Tariffa=Mr. Fare

Is this an hidden message? :-)

  • Jerry Goldsmith's music is so memorable.
