Ah okay. I'll give those two suggestions a try.
Mainly with the sarcasm/irony, I do like it but I think that in some Brit. comedies, they exaggerate to much to a point where I don't find it funny and more stupid than funny but again, everyone is different so I'm not complaining.

yeh well the office was a gd one to watch not the mighty boosh though.
watch a bit of only fools and horses or the vicar of dibley cos its only the up-to-date stuff thats really funny
you might also try live at the apollo cos the stand-ups there are gr8 even the americans e.g. joan rivers lmfao
but yeh its mainly irony and sarcasm that we find funny
