The only kind of European racing to make it in the USA is the ALMS, Supertouring also failed in europe due to the huge costs involved in building a car, so S2000 was adopted in the WTCC (formerly ETCC) and BTCC and then later the STCC and DTC, and the USA series just didnt catch onto these rules.

Thank you very much for posting a video of the NATCC. I've heard so much of how much a fail the North American Touring Car Championship is, but never seen anything besides a Road and Track picture. The Stratus was pretty strong in this championship, winning every race except(?) the finale at Laguna Seca. Didn't know ABC aired this. This is honestly the first NATCC video footage I've seen anywhere. So thanks for posting this and the other related videos!

man, these things are sexy

Them Honda Accords looked nice as fuck in those days.

Honda didn't rule this series. Dodge had the points for ever and was eventually limited in competition if I remember correctly due to winning too much with so much factory support. Correct me if I'm wrong

Top 3? hahaha. Means nothing when out of the top 1 Honda had 1 car in. Honda dominated this series. Good times.

thats right baby... out of top 3 dodge had two cars in... fuck honda
