Why the hell should she have to speak with an American accent if she's British (whether she's been there 20 years or not)? I doubt she's trying to distinguish herself at all.

How crazy -- homeland security can read your mail, monitor your phone calls. When traveling they can open your bags and riffle through your belongings BUT WAIT this poor tortured soul could not be stopped because of his civil rights.
