  • i downloaded it over GOG.com, is there anyway i can get this?

  • @izzbassethound Go to the forums at hard-light(dot)net/forums Create an account, and they can help you with everything you need to know, including how to get the newest version of FRED. Have fun!

  • whenever i try to run the mission via ALT+R it says "the system cannot find the file specified" am i doing something wrong?

also when i run freespace through other means my missions dont appear in the tech room.

i have freespace 2 on disk and it came with fred2 free but i dont understand why it wont let me play the missions

im really confused help please lol

  • @StevoE26 I find that using the ALT+R in Fred2 as a shortcut doesn't work. Actually, I'm not sure if there is a shortcut to get it to work that way at all. Instead, when you try to test your mission, just restart FS2.

As for the mission not appearing in the tech room, make sure that you save your missions to your FS2 directory, then data/missions. If they are not in the data/missions folder, then FS2 will not be able to find it. I will also upload the last 2 parts to this soon. Hope this helps.

  • Is there a mac version?

  • @silentthreat17

I just wanted to thank you for explaining this and also the link . Although I have played PC games and video games before that for many years I never got into mods but after discovering Freespace and Freespace 2 and the Open Source code project I am obsessed with the notion that I must upgrade my recently GOG purchased copy of Freespace 2 , I am apeshit for Sci Fi and I like all of it , the graphics from the mods done on Freespace and Freespace 2 are awesome. thank you again

  • I saved my missions in data/missions but they dont show up in the tech room under single player missions.

  • I am having the same problem, however I saved the missions in data/missions and they don't show up in the tech room. please help
