  • Perdonad, pero creo que este no es el Crucifixus de Antonio Lotti.

Suena bien de todas formas el que quiera que sea.

  • ouch ouch ouch. They have just murdered an incredible piece. I am sorry, but they are simply not gr8 at this. The timing is off at the begininning, and some very dodgey tuning. It improves a lot, but THEN the conductor pulls the speed back waaaay too much. And the dynamic contrastic is too stark - its not right for a piece of this period. And the last chord - oh my god! You could drive a bus through the gap between the note they were singing and the note they should have been singing

  • Nice job! Acapella, young singers, *8* parts -- still got goosebumps :) .

  • @fgbowen - I might simply add that a good example of this piece is performed by The Sixteen, and can be searched for on YT. Also - The Cambridge Singers do a fine performance as well.

  • I do not agree with davetb2 completely.

Actually, this group is doing a great job of supporting the difficult harmonies over the long haul of the piece.

Possibly the conductor has some work to do on his own, but the group itself is perfectly capable of tackling and mastering this piece fully - perfectly capable.

  • Very good! Especially considering it doesn't look like its being sung by a professional choir.

  • seguí jugando al Pokemon!!!

que seguro te va a ir barbaro!!!!!!!!!!!

capaz que cantas lindo en la ducha! :o)

    saludos!

  • Sure it wasn't gr8 but I've had experience with this piece and it is not at all a piece of cake to sing. This is a college level song for very experienced singers who've had years of training. The conductor had his opinion about the tempo he chose so I wouldn't criticize him on that. With how imperfect it was, it was a superb job compared to what 85% of the other choirs that attempted this probably did. I congratulate them for the attempt at least- not perfect, but not completely butchered.

  • Good effort! I think Davetb is a little harsh on that last note - it starts ok, but the women fail to hold true pitch at the very end of the note.

  • Agreed, and did you hear the false start at the beginning? Stop swaying like you're on a boat and stop touching your hair / face! I was fine with their dynamic contrast but the tempo change was way too much.

  • Just beautiful!
