Quite an impressive feat for an Atari 2600 game to have 10 different games in one, especially with two different styles of gameplay. I especially love the way the trees were colored on this game; the yellow-tan ones really appeal to me. I also like the sound effect made when the skiier jumps in games 6-10, which is why I tend to jump here and there.

For the downhill runs, the player must get to the bottom of the hill (in a certain amount of meters) in fastest possible time. The moguls (gray patches in the snow) can be jumped over by pressing the action button. Both trees and moguls serve as obstacles here.

A perfect run of the downhill race. I wanted to get the best video I can get with this, so I had decided to work my hardest to get no crashes whatsoever. I had figured people did not want to see it at all.

  • there used to be a game like this for the old windows 3.11....

I dont think it was made by activision tho..

  • Heck, I'll bet there were a lot of sports games made back at the time, especially for tennis (Pong). It's interesting to see that there were Windows versions before Windows 95. I never even knew they existed.

  • where do you find all of these games???

  • I have a compliation game for the PlayStation titled Activision Classic Games for the Atari 2600, which includes 30 titles. I hook up my PlayStation to an ADS Tech Video Xpress and record the gameplay footage through given software.

  • Did you take a photograph of your TV screen showing the required score and then send it to Activision headquarters to get a merit patch?

  • i usd o play this at my gandmas when i was a wee Brownstone.

  • I look at this and frown = (

It makes me wonder if when I'm twenty years older will our children look back at us and laugh at what we play.

  • that would be Ski Free I believe.

the original creator of it has it for download for Windows 32 bit OSs (XP, Vista). Just search for The Most Officialest SkiFree Home Page! on google. that damn yet monster still stands undefeated.

  • I think I would like this mode for the game more. :)

  • Digi you have to be thinking of Ski-Free!
