of course they do. they believe in helping their fellow man and they believe in doing what it takes for them, their families, and their fellow men to enjoy freedom in every sense of the word. just because his sons didn't go into the military why would you think mormons don't support the military? I don't see the logic here.

Paul wants to return the federal government back to the constitution and give the states back the power that has been taken away from them.

Imagine if each state was to implement its own public school programs. You would have 50 different programs. One state can adopt ideas from another state to make improvements to its own existing system. With a federal system it is a one size fits all which is a terrible idea.

I know that some of Paul's ideas seem different, but alot of times he is misunderstood or the media misrepresents him.

Hello law53ut. Personally, I like public education. I had a public education, served in Navy for 6 years, and then attended a state ran college for seven years. What Paul is advocating is not getting rid of the public school system, but rather getting rid of the Department of Education (DOE) on the Federal level. The DOE was created in late 70's, early 80's and consists of many unneeded bureucrats and lobbyists. Each state has its own DOE and can do a much better job than federal.

and what is your opinion of Ron Paul wanting to end government involvement in schools tomorrow? So all our schools should be private enterprise? Exactly how do you see that working? I think RP has some good values but I think he's in the clouds and a bit unrealistic on some things as to how the world works.
