  • These guys had 2 grrreat albums on Motown...of all places! A pet project of senior producer Mike Valvano, XIT's leader Tom Bee also wrote and played with Smokey Robinson, The Jackson Five (with Michael Jackson), Diana Ross amongst others..

This 1973 gem was one of their best..and a RAVE-FAVE of mine, as well..Not to mention abit more sociopolitically relevant than the other Native American ensemble Redbone's "Come And Get Your Love", which coincidentally I *HATE!*

    But XIT **ROCKS!!** Thanx

  • I had no idea Redbone was a Native band. Learned something new today.

  • sweet :)

  • Great band and a fantastic song!!!

You can find their CD's on eBay.

Some are re-releases; check the songs listed.

  • A good song for all the misguided Native soldiers (contract murderers) overseas assassinating other innocent brown people for their great WHITE father...

  • big statements in the times of many anti war songs

  • Note to CreateCopasetic:

Both of the Motown-issued XIT albums had full inner-sleeve lyrics...and I do believe that the Tome Bee-owned reissues (He bought the masters out from Motown in the 1990's) have them inside the packaging as well..

Note that the printed lyrics to "Reservation Of Education" in the CD reissue differ slightly from those of the Motown LP sleeve's...substituting "BIA and Indian" for "White man and Indian"

  • where would i get xit lyrics?

  • Qwak-I XIT!

you speak now, as you did then.

    Ira Hayes, my Great Uncle

  • This is my childhood..Great song..Would love to see real clips from them or images from concerts at the time.. It would be great!!
