@Loejyrrab, Nobody in the Obama administration ever claimed that Ghaddafi's ancient alliance with terror was the rationale for US intervension. We were told it was humanitarian, although it probably had more to do with keeping libyan oil flowing and to get more of it to flow westwards. I think the fact Ghaddafi's sponsorshp for terror in the past isolated him, making it easier to sell this intervension, whereas we could never have gotten support to intervene in Syria or Egypt.

@Loejyrrab If the Democrats were against the Iraq war, they should've demanded a declaration of war instead of deferring war powers to the president. President Obama (during his 2008 campaign) said he would end the war in Iraq in 16 months. 2009 and 2010 went by and NOTHING CHANGED. We need a third party to challenge the Democrat/Republican control of Congress.

Old Momar admitted as much and paid off to avoid getting bombed. Conversly, Iraq NEVER attacked the USA, yet you Republiscums under Bush/Cheney threw away the lives of 6K US soldiers in order to kill Saddam. The GOP is the party of war mongering, but you're unable to finish the wars you start. Democrats have to clean up the mess.
