Paper Coil Baskets - Lesson Plan

This project transforms traditional basketry into a contemporary craft that is easy for even young students. Paper Coiling Core is shaped and glued in layers in the same manner as constructing a clay coil pot. The paper basket is then decorated with vibrant Blick Liquid Watercolors, wire, beads, yarn or anything you can think of to add flair. Or, create a more traditional Native American or Mexican-style basket by replicating patterns and colors.
