I did mine, but i connected the phone mic to the existing phone mic on the mark viii.
i took the kenwood mic apart, ran the wire on the driver side pillard, and connected the wire and button the the phone pillard. works great. i ran my ipod wire behind radio out to the glove compartment.that way you can't see it when not in use. i dont like nothing showing. even if i leave the ipod in the glove compartment.

Meh, no worries for fastening the unit, lol. Good thing about EF Ford Falcons(FordOfAus) is if you put an aftermarket single din stereo in, it's such a tight fig on the sides that you don't even need to use screws to secure it really.

One quick question: On my current Eclipse in-dash navigation system, I was able to simply ground the parking brake wire to allow full use of the navigation system while driving at any speed. Can this unit do the same thing?

as far as i know you cant take the shifter button out of the handle. You can remove the handle with a c style pin in the back of the handle. Just be warned that if you take it off your going to snap the wire that runs into the shift box and than your going to have to find a way to rewire which includes taking the whole center console apart. I just ended up placing a new switch into the center console in my mark 8 instead of trying to fix the handle od button

No one said you had to disable the BT. Just follow my vid and my advice to your thread on the forum and it will work just fine.
What is the black box with the wire sticking out of it on your back window? Aerial or something? Not to be a nitpicker, think they would of done that in a more tidy/conspicuous manner.

@AdamAus85 Long time... The GPS antennae. You can't see it from inside the car.

I know I can disable the bluetooth and appreciate the advice. But... if I do that then the phone is gone... of course. To me the real issue is the inability of the bluetooth streaming to support tagging. I will admit I did not check the forum prior to purchasing the 9960 and had I would probably still bought it. The other unit I was looking at was the Pioneer. Thanks guys.
