A description of the tragic fate that befell the deaf people who tried to organize the first national association of the Deaf in El Salvador in the 1980's, in the midst of the 12-year Salvadoran Civil War. This story is retold by Mike Kemp, an amazing shaper of current Deaf culture in the United States. Sadly, he passed away on November 24, 2008. This video is here to honor Mike Kemp and also to memorialize the hard work of Deaf organizers and activists the world over.
