  • @squamish4244 As far as I know, it would. We would have to start utilizing foods that bees don't pollinate.

  • @ninjajesus81 So you are agreeing that the loss of bees would be disastrous though?

  • @squamish4244 It's irrelevant to the statement I was objecting to.

  • @ninjajesus81 And what do you think would happen if we lost 1/3 of our food supply?

  • @squamish4244 So you're just confirming what I said. Unless 2/3rds of human food are bananas and grasses.

And just because they exist on every continent, doesn't mean they exist in every area that contains plants.

That's like saying because Egyptians live in Africa, that means you can go anywhere in Africa and see them.

  • @ninjajesus81 In fact, I just did. Here you go: "[Bees] are found on every continent except Antarctica, in every habitat on the planet that contains insect-pollinated flowering plants...It is estimated that one third of the human food supply depends on insect pollination, most of which is accomplished by bees..."

  • @ninjajesus81 Do your own research, it should only take reading the introductory paragraphs on Wikipedia.

  • @Rickey85 We're all doomed anyway in about 80 or 90 years from the moment we're born.

  • If we don't spread out through space we're all fucked

  • @jct09100, I think we will be able to leave earth to mars or the moon between 2070-2130. I hope we will survive to reach that point. Also my best guess is that interstellar space travel will be invented in the first half of the 22nd century. So if we survive past an extra 60-120 years, we should be able to reduce the earth's population by sending various people to live on moon bases or martian bases.
