My favorite band of all time! Their LP is amazing! There's also a great Meat Puppets song that pops up seemingly out of nowhere on it that momentarily drops you back to reality.
Loved these guys. Saw them at LB State (and maybe the Press Club?) Have the 7 inch with "Beak," one of my favorite songs of all time. I'd never seen this clip before... thanks!
My band the Tiki Gods played with Monitor sometime in 79 or 80 at Long Beach State Univ. I/ve loved them ever since. I burned theirLP onto CD and listen to it when I want to go to a "dark place". Their music is frightening!
If anyone has an extra LP, I'd like to replace the one that my employee stole from me. I helped construct their garage into a practice room, many yrs ago.
I saw them a few times, most notably with Victory Acres and Young Marble Giants, opening up for Cabaret Voltaire back on 10/29/1980 at Sokol Hall in LA.
That clip was from "New Wave Theater", there's ol' Peter Ivers at the end.
