How sad. Old Ebenezer pleaded for Belle to stay, while young Ebenezer just sat there with his face in his hands. And they both truly loved her madly. Is that what greed can do to you? Let a beautiful woman you love walk out of your life just like that? I would have made her stay, and made soft beautiful love to her while the snow gently fell outside. But that's just me. Merry Christmas.

Actually, Winter Was Warm was sung by neither Joan Gardner nor Dinah Shore. The voice and singing of Belle was Jane Kean, who also played Trixie Norton in later episodes of The Honeymooners.

Ahhh! This song is good! I just heard it for the first time while watching Mr. Magoo's Christmas with my family. Didn't expect to get teary-eyed during Mr. Magoo.

Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel in "The Little Mermaid") does a version of this song. Unfortunately, it's nowhere near as good as this version. The low, deep, resonating notes of this version really capture the mood. Jodi Benson is...meh.
