First serious try at a painting tutorial video, so I can use all the feedback you can give :)

Do you think this video is too slow, do you prefer speed up? Do you prefer text with music instead of my broken English? What about the camera setup? Please share your thoughts with me!

This is only a mere teaser of things to come, I have the plans to paint an entire figure on camera soon.

  • I think it was good overall. What about providing some type of rotating final shot of the completed mini under optimal light conditions?

  • @Eesoteric43 yeah I should really have included that, but I was quite eager to get this video online asap :) there's going to be a showcase video up soon, thank you for your comment!

  • I´ve been using P3 flesh wash straight out to create rust effects on metallics with good results also

  • I too think your english is just fine and enjoyed this tutorial bro. I have the same feeling about metallics on black versus white. It just doesn't look quite right to me if I paint them onto a white basecoat. I paint most of them onto black other than golds. I usually put a layer of brown under my gold metallics.

  • good tutorial mate and your english is fine. dont worry..... Subscribed!!

  • Awesome minis buddy! The tutorial is very helpful, thanks for sharing.

  • good job on the tutorial Corvus, it can be tough painting thru the camera thumbs up ;)

  • Your camera set up was just fine....well done tutorial and nicely painted mini...good job, buddy...Jim

  • Really great tutorial. I liked the pace and explanation. Looking forward to more. great great stuff.

  • Great tutorial, was really interesting.

  • Enjoyed the tutorial, speed spot on for my liking. More than happy with the broken English(Better than most of my Scottish mates). I like to paint whilst listening/watching YouTube. Music and text means i don't get as much from a tutorial.

    Thanks for sharing.
