  • Had to watch this a few times to see what was goin on. Didn't really show why you connected airline to injector hole. was it to get rid of iron filings from drilling? Well done anyway, very impressive.

  • To prevent metal from getting into the engine.

  • I freakin' hate you. I had a glow plug break off on a 617 engine in an '83 300SD, and have had to remive the whole head.

  • Removing the head should be a last resort option after every other method fails to extract the broken plug.

  • where can i get the tools to do this? pleace help

  • Yeah very good, only took him seven minutes not 12 hrs, everyone i talked to with mine said a head off job!

  • what is the kit actually called and where can I purchase one? god I hate dieseld. they suck!!!!

  • I think some of the stuff like a special slide hammer for the guide bush is a bit OTT.

I managed to do it on OM605 with a set of drill bits form the local hardware store and long HT M8 bolt and tap set from Lidl. I had to extend the drill bit using shaft off the dead plugs.

Took the whole Sunday from 9am to 9 pm because it broke on me on 4 plugs out of 5.

  • f*** me, all that for one glow plug?? I rather just buy new engine!! Good video tho, good skills

  • so your are telling me that if i dont have a $500 super tool kit that i am in shits-vill

  • what engine is that?

  • hi, i am impressed where can i buy this from??

  • Very neat. Wish someone like him was working in my local garage ;-)
