Title: リーインカーネイションでメタルっぽい何か
Artist: MasamiT
Circle: O-Life
Album: 異臭幻想狂
Original: リーインカーネーション (Reincarnation)

3:16 is the "moment" of this song, and the main reason why I had to put this up.

Because not inserting a Mima arrange in this compilation would be blasphemy, heresy, MADNESS...

MADNESS!?

THIS! IS! TOUHOU!

Reincarnation is quite an important song for this channel, after all, it was my first video, haha, do you guys recall it? I do, I was quite giddy and nervous back then, writing a some-what lame text-wall for you guys and putting up the arrange on this channel.
That was 61 videos ago. Although I recall it as if it where yesterday.

So, reminiscence aside, do you guys recall when I said:

"and seriously I fail to see why there isn't a HUGE amount of classical arranges of this theme, after all the track is practically made for epic orchestras"

Here we are, this video is more then enough proof. In fact, this is one of the best arranges of Mima's theme my ears have been blessed with.
Draw your attention to the intro and the choruses at 3:16, those are the HOT, BITTER, proof you guys need. I swear I had an orgasm when those choruses kicked in, I can only just imagine how this songs would sound on an organ or on full choruses. The guitars are, IMO, a somewhat unneeded touch, but still a unique one, though I think the arrange could have done just as well without it, or maybe even better.
Don't ask me why, but I've always thought ZUN got inspired by Vivaldi or maybe a some other great classical musician to make this song, especially in the Doll of Hourai auto-arrange.

"...so I tried not to make her theme
song too bad-ass..."
-ZUN, translated by Touhou wiki

Sorry ZUN, this time you failed for the best.

Also, I would like to tell you guys (one video late) that the 9th music compilation of Merlin is up and ready to be downloaded, what are you waiting for? Go and grab it!!

  • i like the arrange by 黑夜葬 better

  • But, still it's 3/4 techno, thus it stays out of my yard, and Myon already uploaded it.

Seriously, nothing more productive to say other then Kokuyasou's arrange being "better" then this?

  • o_o

This type of music makes me sad whenever I turn on the radio, because almost nothing compares to this awesomeness.

  • is there a sheet music for this for the violin?

  • Awesome

  • Nice morgenstern.

    Wonderful music though

  • I kinda liked the guitar part. It sounded as though Mima and Reimu were going at it one last time or something.

Also the 'でメタルっぽい何か' in the original title means something like 'In a metal-ish style'. So yeah. Obligatory guitars :\

  • me thinking to myself: hm i wonder if...........

3:16 yup eargasms are real, gotta clean this up

  • @catleeena Yes it is. On Phantasmagoria of Dim. Dream, the third Touhou

  • I sincerely hope Mima is at least enjoying herself in Wasteland.

  • Isn't it PC-98?

  • 3:16 YES!! A chorus! That's what always comes to my mind when I hear this wonderful track ingame.
