  • that shift sounds hard.

  • Its a VERY hard shift.. Van 700r4s came with the Hi Po 2-4 servo like the Vettes and the larger TV boost valve. On top of that, I put in an elevated line pressure spring and a full Transgo 700 2-3 shift kit. Drilled seperator plate, accumulators restricted and stiffer springs throughout. When I finally put in the Yank 2,600 I had laying around, it would spin into 2nd.

  • Nice, I have a 5 speed and modded 350 TBI in my truck so i can control if its a hard shift. :) I have chance to buy a complete w/wiring 350 TPI setup,,, just the TPI setup, nothing else. computer included for $250. 150,000 miles, he went to a carb and has tpi stuff left over.

Whats weird is my dad has a 700r4 out of a 89 g20 van.. that he needs to put in his 87 FSC becuase it has a bad trans.

  • With the current 350 it has run a 14.66 @ 93 mph and weighs 5,500lbs. So go crawl back under your box.

  • You realize that in 3rd gear with 3.07 rear gears and 31" tall tires that van is moving nearly 120-130 mph, depending on converter slippage. The TCC clutch applies above 80 mph, so it should crest 125 pretty easily. It had more, but I ran out of road.

  • your sick!.. i love it...sounds good
