Combat footage. German Wartime Newsreel (Die Deutsche Wochenschau).
The Battle of Kursk or Kursk Campaign (July 4 -- July 20, 1943), also called Operation Citadel (German: Unternehmen Zitadelle) by the German Army, was a major battle on the Eastern Front of World War II, and the last German blitzkrieg offensive in the east as well as the last German offensive of such scale in the war.
German rocket launchers give of a weird sound. But Katusha's sound is petrifying especially for those on the receiving end. Just an observation.

Many don't realize that the Battle of Kursk also had a huge Air battle componant. The Russians were "dug in" and waiting for the Germans this time.

Hitler needed Citadel to save face with Germany's allies as he was losing the war. He went into Russia on horseback & foot, just as in WWI. Not to mention sacrificing 200,000 of his best troops at Stalingrad.

Hitler stopped Operation Citadel due 2 the fact, Churchill gave the order for the Allies to invade Italy. The Second Front in Europe had come, After Kursk the Soviets would be unstoppable and France & low countries wide open for invasion.

I don't deny it. Where did I say that? About us never paying you back - in 1972 after long talks, we signed the agreement with you and paid you back all according to the bill. The last transition was made in 2001 and it was made by The Russian Federation. Brits made last pay 5 years ago. And, please, stop talking about Soviet propaganda - it's really lame since you've got the BEST propaganda machine in the US, okay. So, debts paid, thanks a lot. Bye.

@vvsector Another denier of United States aid....noo you didnt pay us back...Stalin said your payment was in blood....then you took eastern Europe into slavery as another payment. You are simply in denial of US help...it was tremendous and it made a difference...its sad to see old Soviet propaganda still in belief by people. Your greedy communist leadership took everything it could get its hands on and then more...
