@SSEanBarr - I was able to get multiple copies on IRS records. Zulu (Quintessence) had it, as did the old Odyssey Imports and A & B and even A & A Records at Lougheed Mall in Burnaby! Are you still in Vancouver now? I bet we know a lot of the same Emily Carr alumni!

@snakelake I grew up n London Ontario...and moved out to Vancouver in summer of '90
to go to Emily Carr...Are you saying that dark continent was released locally in VAN?
-
@SSEanBarr - I got three different pressings in Canada...Vancouver...where were you to not get a copy at time of release...brutal

@prcauch Agreed. 80's were the shit!

Stan is an old favorite of mine. I've been a fan of his since W.O.V. Seen him in concert several times. He's so good. If you haven't seen him before, I recommend you see him at least once in your life. His melodies and lyrics are very unique.
This is one of the best songs of the 80's. Perfectly captures angst, desperation, nihilism, delusion, life. Ridgeway is a genius.

Bless you for uploading this GEM GEM, I absolutely LOVE WOVoodoo and I remember when I went to Washington DC and saw the album Dark Continent which for some strange reason was not released in Canada and I only learned of its existence when I saw it in the third edition of the Album cover album. I was BLOWN AWAY and I remember spending considerable time searching for it in my Hometown and then trying to see if it could be ordered as an IMPORT but no dice. I found it in DC so I still have it
