Domestic Magpie Conflict

Our almost ten year old magpie (Toots) is introduced to our one year old ugly fledgling (Cookie). Toots was caught in a trap when he was young and has lost two toes, (...for lack of a better word), and we took him off the hands of a guinea pig farmer when he was Cookies age. Cookie had the misfortune of ending up in a pet shop when his parents were no where to be found, thus followed the obligation to take him in etc etc... still unsure of Cookies sex, should be moulting soon.
