  • Hi I just bought this board from Zumies for $199 on sale. I'm just starting out, but I know there's differences in boards as far as "park" and "all terrain"...I don't do any jumps(yet) but is it still ok that I ride this board to learn off of and eventually work my way to the park (HOPEFULLY)...p.s. I'm a girl riding this board if it matters.

  • @TheRuckuzKru - As long as you bought the correct size you should be all good.

  • im not haten on it im just sayin not many ppl love burton bindings. sure they might have some decent ones but in my opinion their whole brand is over priced

  • It is just your opinion.

But you don't sound well informed if you are speaking for most people.

You pay for what you get.

  • people stop knocking burton bindings. i have ridden everything from rossignol (haha yes rossignol) to union. I am currently on burton infidels and couldnt be happier. I also rode the cartels the year before.

  • @SNOWBOARD3KING you can get a new base plate for around £5... thus meaning you can use any bindings on a Burton board.

  • The only thing that the longer nose and tail effects is when spinning on to rails and a shorter nose and tail does not float as well in the powder.

  • @sierrasnowboard

Also the kink has an effect edge of 1208mm on the 152 while my 154 destroyer (a bit too stiff for me to learn ground tricks) has an edge of 1178mm. This would allow me to size down to a 152, correct? The only think I think I'm worried about is the flex and my weight, but at the same time if I were to get a longer board, the thought of jibbing with a long nose and tail doesn't sound ideal. Can you advise? Thanks.

  • @sierrasnowboard

When getting a jib board, how far can you size down? I was thinking about getting a 152 2010 ride kink and I'm 5'9" 165-170ish. I think their max suggested weight range is 175. Am i going overboard?

  • Interesting you say people don't love the Burton Bindings...

They are the most purchased binding in the world.

Riders like Travis Rice that is sponsored by Mervin rides Burton Bindings because he chooses to.

    Burton also owns Forum.

The New EST system is the bomb. Try it before you knock it!
