My favourite live video ever. Watched this several times but it always blows me away. The poetry, passion, and music, its so powerful and possessing. Heartbreaking.

I heard pieces of Joanna Newsom in March 2009 and never, ever forgot it but it was so, so hard to search because I just remember a couple words and that voice! I was driving a moving truck through the mountains and pulling over to listen wasn't possible and I've regretted it for almost 3 years.
I'm so happy I found it finally!!!!

"I love you" is a disturbing phrase, but I would say it without knowing her, practically-speaking. I've seen enough to come to that conclusion--"I love you."

Thank you. This song was my introduction to this album....after neglecting it for years because it didn't sound like 'The Milk-Eyed Mender". After finally sitting down with the album again, I went on line and youtubed this song.. and immediately recognized your footage because I had already seen your video for 'Bridges & Balloons' a personal favorite.

Every word she sings is dripping with emotion. If you look at her facial expression when she plays this, it makes you want to burst into tears and sigh with joy, it's so overwhelmingly beautiful and breathetaking! I wish I could explore the depths of her mind...see what she's thinking and feeling.
