Here is another great old doo-wop song. "This I Swear" released in May 1959 was The Skyliners' second hit record, reaching #26 on Billboard Hot 100 and #20 on the R&B chart. The music was written by lead singer Jimmy Beaumont and the lyrics by Joseph Rock. The original release was on Calico Records and it is included on the CD,The Skyliners - The Greatest Hits on the Original Sound label. The Skyliners' harmony was matched by few other groups of the time.

There were - the other great songs by the Skyliners, such as "Since I Don't Have You." Also there were the many wonderful recordings by the Platters and Little Anthony and the Imperials.
