the dealer you get it from needs the class 3 license. you just need to be willing to do all of the paperwork, and pay out the ass.

No, fully automatic firearms are perfectly legal in the US. All you need is to be at least 21 years old, have a "class-3" license, and the class-3 weapon of choice. All fully automatic weapons, street sweepers, silencers, and anything considered unnessesarily destructive are considered class-3 weapons. You must first purchase the item of choice in order to apply for a class-3 license. You get both at the same time, roughly a month later. Bad side, class-3 usually costs A LOT.
