@dathip Quake was made by id, but they license their engine and have third parties create sequels sometimes. Those were published by Activision, but now Bethesda (who bought id). These include Raven Software (Quake 4, Return to Castle Wolfenstein) and Splash Damage (Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars).
Splash Damage's third "Enemy Territory" multiplayer game was Brink, which game out this year.
