when i get to the first vid_#### and pid i have 4 folders instead of your one all have device perameters but none look like your screen or have enable leagacy support

not at all, i tried it w/my 8g, it stiil works with the software and as a storage devive, it just doesnt work on vista though

there is no HKEY_LOCAL_MAC

nope, theres a special handshake between the zune and the computer making sure its windows. There are people working on a way around this but untill then you have to run a vitual machine in mac (I know about linux which applies to mac in this case as well) of windows.

check the descriptions in the folders under the vid_### stuff look at location information and find the zune one

Doesn't work with hd, it says "Access is denied" when I try to add or delete something.

You have to start your zune software. Begin a sync. then in the middle hit Ctrl Alt Del...and go to proccesses and end the zune software

Well you i know you can search on the internet for a program that will keep it open so u have permission...dont know what its called...and maybe ur ending the wrong proccess
