  • G E N I U S Zal !!! Like GARCIA JERRY

  • on his own and still a loving spoonful with a dash of Dr.Hook thrown in between.

  • he had to leave the spoonful. after turning his weed dealer in, no hippie would support him in any way.

  • @rollingold1 uhh...it still is

  • @PixieDust19962 Yep,he was from Kingston,Ontario. What is it about that town in which they always produce great talent anyhow?

  • Zal was great guitarist, he could fingerpick really good, his problem was when he got busted for grass in '67 he named his informers for a deal not to get imported back to Canada, & all of a sudden his name was mud with the rock people, wasn't cool in those days to snitch to narcs.

  • I read somewheres he was Canadian, and since I'm Canadian, my mind was blown :D

  • @MrKite053 He was asked to leave the group after being arrested on a drug charge.

Your right tho, the Spoonful went dowhill when they lost Zal.....

  • He made a mistake when he left Sebastian and The Spoonful, Zal was a great guy,and a decent guitar player but was a little weak with the vocals.

  • Where's As Long As You're Here?
