Another of me playing the giant Compton organ at the Guildhall in Southampton, Hampshire.

For this second video I move over to the 'classic' console which features the Compton patent luminous stop controls. Im playing the hymn 'O God, our help in ages past' to the tune 'St Anne' which shows off the sheer power of this machine!

The reason I chose this hymn was because it was written by Isaac Watts who was born in Southampton in 1674. The Guildhall features a 155ft clock tower with 9 bells and this tune is played every 4 hours.

  • "Yes" very R C! Lol! i like the variety of this organ, the clock tower you mentioned Chris, ive seen that when i was boarding the Cruise ship going on holiday a few times now.
