@Kaprrricius Yes, I have it on DVD. The love scenes always make me think of the song You Got the Silver. Poor Keith... But what you say is right - all the negative and positive things that went on gave us the fantastic music.

@atticthoughts Yeah there was some serious self-destruction going on during those times. Though I also believe a lot of love and beauty...which came out in the music. Have you ever seen the film Performance before?

@Kaprrricius I totally agree with what you say. Every thing that happend back then has helped to shape what was and what would be with the Stones. What I wanted to say with my comment was what you already knew. Anita was never a victim for Brian's violent side in the way other women had been. She was totally in control and was violent herself. But people tend to see her as a victim because she use that as an excuse for what she and Keith did. Then she treated Keith bad as well afterwards.

@atticthoughts I never thought Keith rescued her - that was simply a recounting of the events from her pov from an interview. I know what a strong willed woman she was. I just think it's short-sighted to say anyone stole anyone, because people make their own decisions. Even if she was a 'manipulative and abusive bitch,' she was a driving force to that band. I'm sure everyone involved would have bad/good things to say about each other. Human beings and their relations are complex things.

@CityslickCaptain Brian wrote music for a soundtrack and produced an album. He wasn't more of a shit than others at that time. Winners write history.

@Kaprrricius Keith was never the knight in shining armor but a pawn for a manipulative and abusive bitch. Anita was nothing like the rest of the women around the Stones and didn't need to be "rescued". She wanted to play with the head of the leader of the band. Brian was no match for her and he had no power. Keith was in love with her, he was more of a challange than Brian and had the power. Keith betrayed Brian but he was lucky that Anita didn't succeed in destroying him.

I have no words for this. In fact, I have tears.

keef's a son of a bitch!hahaah nobody believed that he was going to be 70,but he cheated death haha, coolest person alive!
-
@flakbac I don't know if you've ever seen an interview with Anita Pallenberg, but she's quoted as saying Brian was abusive to her and Keith couldn't take seeing that anymore. Maybe we all don't know these guys, but that's something straight from the mouth of the 'ole lady.'

@laspenasdelfenix To each their own, my friend. But I'll stand by what I said just the same.:-)
charlie watts was right when he said that they took everything away from him when he was sacked from the stones as he was the stones
